There’s an organic spark that encourages you to have fun, socialize, and connect with other women—finding similarities in each other while appreciating the beauty in our differences." ​

Gathering with The Mama’s Bag has provided a safe, low stakes, inclusive third space that I have needed. As a child free person, I feel welcome every time we gather. I thoroughly enjoy connecting with mothers, aunties, godmothers, etc.. and always leave with a renewed spirit.​

​I’m so grateful to Valaencia for intentionally creating and curating The Mama’s Bag, because she has cultivated an environment where women can just be! There was no pressure to have the perfect answer or present a polished version of ourselves. There was simply room to be honest, to listen, to express, and to connect. That sort of space is rare.

​

I left reminded that I am not alone and that the kind of community I’ve been longing for really does exist. ​If you’re looking for a space where vulnerability is welcomed, conversations have depth, and women genuinely pour into one another, I can’t recommend The Mama’s Bag enough!

​ Before last week I wouldn’t say that I could recall a moment that I had taken the time to savor much of anything. Life happens so fast and its always on to the next thing once something has been completed. I always joke that my checklist has a checklist meaning it is always something for me to do.

​

But since last week I have been intentional of not rushing, taking my time to sit and savor the moment, and to remind myself that life is meant to be lived not rushed through. So thank you for bring such a beautiful group of women together who many met as strangers and new connections were made as well as thank you for giving us the charge to slow down and savor life.

Thank you again for throwing an amazing gathering of amazing individuals.
This event provided a safe space to unwind, laugh, listen and share with other women who enjoy being apart of a community. This is our village!

You just have to magic touch to find the right people to bring together and create a community that many of us need just as women not just mothers. Thank you for following your calling!​

I just have to say THANK YOU to Valaencia! She definitely knows how to curate a whole vibe. It was something so special about being in a room full of like-minded women—mothers, aunties, sis who don’t even want no kids lol—everybody and just being able to TALK, laugh, connect, and for real fellowship.And these ladies celebrated ME. Like genuinely celebrated me.

I walked away feeling connected and like o found a space. As a busy mother It’s OKAY to stop and celebrate yourself. It’s OKAY to let other people genuinely celebrate you, too. Sometimes you don’t realize how much you needed that until you’re in the moment receiving it. I can’t thank Valaencia and all of these beautiful ladies enough. The love was REAL, the energy was REAL, and the fellowship was everything I didn’t know I needed.
